Making An Appointment
You can make an appointment to visit the Department of Radiation
Oncology after your referring physician contacts one of the department's
physicians. To make an appointment, please call (520)694-7236 during our department hours from 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday
through Friday.
You can expect the most up-to-date cancer
treatment, combined with a
caring staff, as you begin therapy at our Radiation Oncology Department. Closely
associated with one of the nations leading research institutions, the
University of Arizona
Cancer Center, we offer the most current and effective cancer therapies available to you
and the hundreds of other patients we see every year.
Wed like you to be at ease
during your radiation treatments and hope this information will help you understand what to
expect. We look forward to working with you as partners in your care and
recovery. As you get to know us during your visits, we hope you
will find it easy to talk with us
about your concerns.
A Variety of Professionals are Here to
Help You
Two radiation oncology physicians
care for you during your treatment. The primary coordinator is the attending radiation
oncologist who supervises a resident physician. Our residents are fully-licensed
physicians who have completed medical school, an internship and have made a four-year
commitment to the specialized study of radiation oncology.
Our physicians and highly-skilled staff of nurses,
physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, and social workers are committed to
providing you with the best possible care.
