Philip Carter, MD
Dr. Carter specializes in Neurological
Surgery. He received his medical degree from Washington
University in St. Louis followed by an internship at Harborview
Hospital in Seattle. He completed residencies at St. Luke's
Hospital in New York and the Barrow Neurological Institute at St.
Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix. He completed fellowships at
the University of Zurich in microsurgery and the University of
West Ontario, Canada in aneurysm surgery. Dr. Carter is
board certified by the American Board of Neurological
Surgery. He is a member of the American Association of
Neurological Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Carter is an active clinical researcher, author and
lecturer. He has authored many research papers, book
chapters and lectures on a variety of neurosurgical topics
including cerebral blood flow, cerebral vascular malformations and
brain tumors. Dr. Carter's special interests include
treatment of trigeminal neuralgia, brain tumors and vascular
malformations of the brain.

Marco Marsella, MD
Dr. Marsella is a neurosurgeon that
received his medical degree from University of Firenze
(Florence, Italy) and completed is internship in Stockholm,
Sweden. He completed his neurosurgery residency at University of
Pauda in Pauda, Italy. Dr. Marcella completed fellowships in
Cerebrovascular, Spine at University Hospital of Cincinnati
(Cincinnati, Ohio).
Most recently Dr. Marcella was
Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at University of Nebraska
Medical Center and VA Medical Center. Dr. Marcella currently is
Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery in the Division of Neurosurgery
at University of Arizona, University Medical Center. Dr.
Marcella interests include the surgical treatment of brain tumors.

Thomas Norton, MD
Dr. Norton specializes in Neurological
Surgery.
He received his medical degree from Loyola University. Stritch
School of Medicine followed by an internship at Cook County Hospital
in Chicago, and residency at University of Illinois.
He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological
Surgery. He is a member of the American Association of
Neurological Surgeons and the American Society of Stereotactic and
Functional Neurosurgery. He has practiced in the Tucson
community since 1973.
Dr. Norton is a clinical lecturer at the Arizona Health Sciences
Center. Dr. Norton's special interests include pain disorders, surgery
for pituitary tumors, and surgery for movement disorders.

Abhay Sanan, MD
Dr. Sanan specializes in Neurological
Surgery. He received his medical degree from Boston
University School of Medicine, followed by an internship and
residency at the University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic. He
completed a fellowship at the University of Cincinnati in complex
intracranial surgery. He is board certified by the American
Board of Neurological Surgery. He is a member of the
American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Trigeminal
Neuralgia Association
Dr. Sanan is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at
the University of Arizona and has authored many research papers on
a variety of neurosurgical topics including intracranial
tumors. Dr. Sanan's special interests including treatment of
brain tumors, skull base tumors, cerebrovascular lesions and
functional disorders such as trigeminal neuralgia.

Eric Sipos, MD
Dr. Sipos
completed advanced medical training at the Johns Hopkins University,
and served as an active duty neurosurgeon for the U.S. Army. He was
Director of Surgical Neurooncology and Director of Outpatient
Neurosurgical Services at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He
has held academic appointments at the Uniformed Services University
Health Sciences, at the Johns
Hopkins University School of Medicine, and is
currently practicing with Western Neurosurgery in Tucson, Arizona.
