Nam P. Nguyen, MD,
Assistant Professor
Dr.
Nguyen is board certified in Internal Medicine and Radiation
Oncology. He treats patients with head and neck, lung cancer,
and melanoma. His clinical research focuses on:
● swallowing
disorders and lung aspiration following head and neck radiation
● the
development of medication to treat radiation complication
● applying
basic science research in the clinic to increase cancer cure rate
and decreasing radiation side-effects.
Dr. Nguyen received his medical
degree from the University of Liege in Belgium. He completed his
residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Endocrinology
at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin. He finished his
Radiation Oncology training at the University of Chicago, Chicago,
Illinois. He completed his Fellowship in brachytherapy at Beth
Israel Hospital, New York, NY, University of Montpellier and Lille,
France. He was on staff at East Carolina University, Greenville, NC,
and University of Texas Southeastern Medical Center at Dallas,
Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Nguyen was the Employee of the Month at the Veterans
Administration North Texas Health Care Center in Dallas Texas in
2003. He was the International Health Professional of the year in
2006. He was listed among The Best Doctors in America in 2005. |
