Deirdre
Cohen, MD
Associate Professor
Dr. Cohen is a
board certified radiation oncologist with international
experience. She specializes in treating patients with tumors
of the breast, eye, central nervous system, head and neck, and
gastro-intestinal tract.
Her clinical research focuses on:

new treatment approaches in
head and neck and
gastro-intestinal malignancy;

quality of life
for patients
receiving radiation treatments;

use of
stereotactic radiation for
benign and malignant brain
tumors
Dr. Cohen received her medical degree and residency training in
radiation oncology in Edinburgh, Scotland and completed a
fellowship in oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London,
England. She received three years of post-graduate
experience in the British Columbia Cancer Agency, Canada.
She held the position of Associate Professor in Clinical Radiation
Oncology at the University of Southern California for 21 years
where she was involved in the stereotactic radiosurgery
program. She has extensive resident teaching
experience.
